William Fred “Bill” Holloway-age 82 of Corryton passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at his home. He was retired from the United States Navy as a flight engineer in 1977 and also the Department of Defense in 1995. During retirement, he was a military liaison to the American Red Cross. Bill was a strong believer in Christ and a member of Union Baptist Church in Corryton. Preceded in death by parents, Boyce Clayton and Grace Elizabeth (Scott) Holloway; brother, Robert “Bob” Holloway.

Survivors: wife of 54 years, Joan M. (Cooke) Holloway, Corryton; son, Fred Milton Holloway, Knoxville; daughter, Helen Sue “Cookie” Reeves and husband, Don A. Reeves; granddaughter, Aubree Nichole Reeves, all of Sutter, California. Sisters, Mary Macomber and husband, Ted; Linda Delozier; sister-in-law, Judy Holloway. Several nieces, nephews and cousins along with a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Maynardville. Graveside service 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville with Rev. Craig Cummings officiating.
