Faustine Nicely Beeler
Nema Faustine Beeler, age 93, of Luttrell, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Holston Healthcare. She was born April 27, 1927, and was a member of Emory Valley Baptist Church.
She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and those who have gone before her: parents, Rev. Clyde Nicely Sr. (1981) and Kate (1995); husband, Sammie Beeler (1987); daughter, Susan Weaver (2010); sisters, Dorothy Cloud (2020), Helen Huskey (2016), and Gaynell Nicely (1932); and brother, Clyde Nicely Jr. (2018).
She will be missed by daughters, Linda Beeler and Margaret (Joe) Campbell; grandson, Gabe (Wendy) Thrasher; granddaughters, Terris (Jeff) Monroe and Heather (Josh) Minton; great-grandchildren, Landry and Scarlett Thrasher, Amber Garrett, Bailey and Austin Minton; brother, Rev. Richard (Linda) Nicely; and sister, Mabel (Pat) Muncey; and many nieces and nephews.
Faustine was the oldest of seven siblings. She graduated from Horace Maynard High School in 1945 and taught five grades in a one-room schoolhouse. She worked at Oak Ridge during the war and was one of the last surviving Calutron Girls of the Atomic City who helped win World War II. She married Sammie after he served in World War II and became a full-time housewife, devoted to her family, raising three daughters. She lived by faith caring for her husband, mother, and daughter, Susan during sickness. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her gifts from God. While she was still able, she loved to travel to the beach with her daughter, Linda. Her strength came from her Lord. God provided all she needed, and she never desired more. She never complained and always saw something positive in every trial. Proverbs 31 best describes how she lived her life.
Thank you to the staff at Holston Healthcare who became her extended family and a place she called home for the past two years. Their love and exceptional care was a blessing to our family. Mom called her room at Holston her apartment and never knew she was in a nursing home. Her Holston home was her Heaven on earth. Thank you to all those who worked on hallway 400.
