Dottie was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She always had a kind word and could bring joy to any group. She was a strong supporter of education for all. Among Dottie’s many accomplishments, one of which she was proudest was being the first in her family to graduate from high school.
Dottie owned Calloway Bus Lines and drove thousands of children to school over the period of a 50 year career. An excellent seamstress, Dottie worked as a tailor during WWII. She continued to sew until she turned 90. Dottie loved gardening and working in the yard. Dottie was a proud member of Eastern Star.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either Knox County Humane Society or Young Williams Animal Village. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
