Tis' the Season

As the Christmas season approaches, there are many events in Maynardville for families to enjoy.

Light the Night
The Union County Business and Professionals Association and the Mayor’s Office are kicking off the holiday season with a “Light the Night” event. Community members can welcome in the holiday season at Wilson Park on Friday, December 1 at 7pm.
Families can come watch the first annual gazebo lighting while enjoying music from the Union County High School Band and Choir.
Local business will be present handing out hot chocolate, cider, coffee, cookies, popcorn, Christmas ornaments, crafts, and more!
While enjoying the music and activities, children can meet Santa and tell him their wish lists.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Saturday, December 2 at 4:00 pm

Union County Opry – A Country Christmas Special
Saturday, December 2 at 7 pm
Come join the opry for an evening of country Christmas music. There will also be a toy drive for Kelly’s Kids where toys, clothes, and gift card donations will be accepted.
Donations can be dropped off at the Kitchen Design Center at 2945 Maynardville Hwy up to December 1 and brought to the show.

Maynardville Christmas Parade
Sunday, December 10
Line up begins at 10 am at the Union County High School with the parade taking off at 2:30 pm.

Union County Farmer’s Market - Christmas Market
Saturday, December 16 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Maynardville Elementary School
Visitors can come meet with local vendors where they will have local meats, crafts, and baked goods just in time for holiday parties and get togethers.
