State Promotes Industry Certifications
Union County High School students meet goals set by the Tennessee Department of Education for high school students to attain industry certifications before graduating. Ms. Booker’s Computer Science Foundations students travelled to Walters State Community College to test in information technology. The students took a 75 question exam from the world’s leading tech association, CompTIA. CompTIA is an IT professional association and a leader in certification programs. Their programs set industry standards. Students with the industry certification show employers they are knowledgeable, skilled and committed. The IT Fundamentals + exam is a stepping stone for additional information technology certifications.
Ms. Booker’s students passing the exam are Mariah Parker (12), Bryan Ochoa (9), Isaac McClure (9), Nikki Heath (9), Andrew Edmondson (10), Ethan Woods (9), Nicolas Sizemore (10), and Mason Weaver (10). Congratulations on a job well done!
